GIM bags top UN ranking for sustainability concepts

Goa Institute of Management, Sakhali, got a huge shot in the arm as a United Nations wing recently rated it among the four best in the world for imbibingsustainability conceptsinstudents.

At theUNprinciples for responsible management Education (UN-PRME) global forum held this week virtually from New York,GIMwasrecognisedfor its social impact andsustainabilityachievements. Only four of the 46 business schools from 21 countries that participated in the positive impact ranking (PIR) report achieved the top ranking.

The PIR is a rating conducted by students and for students. This is the second edition of the PIR report, where students worldwide assessed their business schools on how they perceive their positive impact in the world. PIR is the voice of students around the globe, and what is most satisfying for us is that our main stakeholders our students have acknowledged institute commitment towards sustainability, responsibility and impact, said Parulekar.

GeM SAHAY Platform – iSPIRT

GeM is implementing the SAHAY project in collaboration with the Indian Software Product Round Table (iSPIRT), a non-profit tech think tank’s volunteer team.

The GeM-SAHAY portal can be used to provide frictionless financing for MSMEs on the Government eMarketplace, allowing them to obtain a loan at the Point of Order acceptance on the GeM platform.

The SAHAY platform is affiliated with the country’s leading lenders.

Using the portal, the loan payment will be instant, rather than the traditional principle of approving the loan, which usually does not end with the actual payment.

The GeM SAHAY platform is lender agnostic,’ allowing any lender that is duly regulated by the Reserve Bank Of India to participate and provide capital and smart collection accounts to GeM sellers.

Minister of Tribal Affairs, Shri Arjun Munda, inaugurated Second National Sickle Cell Conclave on the occasion of World Sickle Cell Awareness Day 2021 on 19th June.

This conclave is held to mark world Sickle Cell Day each year. Launch of Adi Prashikshan Portal

The Adi Prashikshan Portal was launched by the Minister of Tribal Affairs.

The portal would serve as a Central Repository for all training programmes offered by Tribal Research Institutes (TRIs), various divisions of the Tribal Affairs Ministry, the National Society for Education of Tribal Students (NESTS), Ministry-funded Centers of Excellence, and the National Tribal Research Institute. It was created by the Government of India’s Tribal Affairs Ministry.

Announcement of Global Peace Index

The fifteenth version of the Global Peace Index (GPI) announced by using Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) Sydney, the GPI is the worlds leading measure of world peacefulness.
